Bibliotheque: Italian Country Living

Don’t you just love cuddling up with a gorgeous book? At one of our favorite cafes in Pasadena, Fiore Market Cafe, they not only have craveworthy treats like fennel salad and vegan cupcakes, but they keep stacks of design & fashion books piled on benches and tables! Paradise.

Fennel slaw with anise & dill from Fiore Market Cafe! YUM

Today whilst lunching there, I started flipping through Italian Country Living by Caroline Clifton Mogg. I took a few pics of the spaces that emulated spa living to share with you – get ready to go to Tuscany folks:

This striped bed canopy is suspended from two iron rods - so glam!

Bed crown hardware is used in reverse here, with white linen sewn to the outside of the bar, then stretched out into a sail like canopy!

A whimsical bed with meandering iron work!

Such a retro take on Italian style vibing 60's.

Genius idea! Build a cozy nook by framing up a closet next to a window, then add drawers to bench heigth & add cushion, storage and spa time! Woohoo

Digging the sparkly serenity of this bath

Super cool blue boudoir highlights the pink bath which looks lit from within.

The pink makeup and bathroom close up.

The cheery flower on the wall keeps the antique statues from being too serious.

Aren't these chairs the most divine, girly thing ever? Want want want puhlease!

Let me know if you like these type of book tours. Would you be interested in seeing more from the Spa Bibliotheque?
